Relax? What's that?

When was the last time you stretched your legs and lay on a beach as the waves trickled through your toes? Or watched the rain, sipping coffee, laying on a bean bag? Or just slept for twelve hours straight followed by a lazy, lousy day? You're lucky if you experience it time and again, but most of us don't really get those chances often.

Life's taken a toll on us and has pledged never to let us have those few moments of bliss and peace without any tension or stress. Nobody stares into blank space with a blank mind, there's always something running through it, thoughts of things that bother them or will bother them. "All work No play" is like a dog-tag attached to each individual. We are forced to hold ourselves back and abide to each workload with utmost precision, failing to which we let down not only ourselves, but also the hopes of others relying on us. We have become stress/tension/work-addicts.  If a man always insisted on being serious, and never allowed himself some fun and relaxation, he would go mad or become unstable without knowing it, unfortunately, most of us have already strolled onto this path already, havent we?

Think about it...

Peace out!

June 2009, I entered the gates of "Junior" college with a confused and dazed look and a funny feeling in my tummy. The school boy days had come to an end and life had entered a new phase. I had no clue as to what lay in front of me, but i never knew it would be limitless fun- personified. A few crazy guys had entered a journey that would never be forgotten. The first two benches in the middle row had become a hometown for us and a nightmare for each teacher. Time flew past us and we only got closer and closer. Bird watching had become a routine and the day would be incomplete without it. Confused love life was something everybody dealt with, except for a few empty-headed people who were head over heels in love with somebody/committed. Riding home "triples" had given us the renowned title "3 Idiots". The bike ride was often followed by a halt at the kachoriwallah (which would add that tinge of perfection if it rained). Life had become a jolly ride, indeed. No college life is complete without rumors and bitchy gossip, of which, unfortunately, we all have been a part of. New pet names such as chindi (cunning), aala(alcohol), baba(Mr know it all) had given us new identities. All good things come to an end, and so did my "junior" college days...

*drum rolls*

June 2011, I entered the same gates as a "university" student. The word itself had an element of class and dignity in it. This was  a new beginning, yet again. Socialising - had become the motto of the class that was situated in one of the coziest corners in the world. The students, however are more popularly known as the media people. The "3 Idiots" has changed to "The 3 'k'usketeers", the kachori has been replaced by some delicious momos and sheekh rolls, and there also arose new pet names like Kevs, Machado, Dubbs and KK. University days have just begun and we're already grooving to its tune...
Hope the journey continues to be another jolly ride.

Everybody changes with time, so did I. I've become an empty headed person, I've learnt to differentiate between the goods and bads of an individual, and value God's gift- FRIENDS!

PS- College also has another aspect, without which it is meaningless- Studies. But that aspect has no right to spoil this blog!
